Sue Elizabeth Canup, 97, of Paris, passed away Wednesday, November 23, 2016 at Heritage House of Paris.

Bright-Holland Funeral Home has scheduled graveside services for 11:00 am, Saturday, November 26, 2016 in Pecan Gap Cemetery. The family will receive friends, at the funeral home, from 6-7 pm, Friday, November 25, 2016.

Mrs. Canup was born May 3, 1919, in Ben Franklin to Paul F. Campbell and Lona Lyons Campbell. She grew up in Pecan Gap, and her family referred to the home place as Blueberry Hill. Mrs. Canup graduated from Pecan Gap High School and her family says that she dearly loved dancing. She married H.I Canup on December 1, 1937 and he preceded her in death in 1987, having built over 50 years of family and memories. She lived in Paris for over 28 years, with the last one and a half years at Heritage House of Paris. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; 5 brothers and 4 sisters. Her family is comforted in knowing that she has joined her husband, H.I. and they are now able to play dominoes and “42” together, forever. Those who survive her and are going to miss their precious little mother and grandmother, with the beautiful smile are her daughter, Wanda Jean Canup Poole Reynolds; two sons, Terry L. Canup and Jerry D. Canup; six grandchildren along with numerous friends and acquaintances.
